Glenn Martinez, Professor of Spanish and Chair of the Department of Spanish  and Portuguese, was selected Latino of the Year by the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center’s Hispanic Latino Network. Martinez was  recognized for his dedication to improving the delivery of health services to underrepresented populations, mentoring medical students, research with interpreting services and improving language access, and opening new pathways for underrepresented students and communities. A scholarship for a high school Latino student to attend Ohio State’s summer MD camp will be established in Martinez’ name.
